The Be A Light Project to Host Hope & Humor Comedy Night Featuring Comedian Brody Tupy
Epworth, IA — The Be A Light Project will host Hope & Humor Comedy Night on Friday, February 28, 2026, at Locals Bar in Epworth, featuring a special performance by comedian Brody Tupy. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with limited tickets available.
This event is intentionally designed to bring people together through laughter while creating meaningful connections during the winter months—when isolation is often felt most deeply in rural communities. Hope & Humor represents a new approach for The Be A Light Project, leading with humor rather than traditional mental health language to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
This approach is especially intentional in reaching men in blue-collar and agricultural industries—groups that have historically been difficult to engage through past events. By centering the evening around shared experience and laughter, the event opens the door for connection and conversation to begin naturally.
The evening will include a brief mission moment, a guest opening performance, a full comedy set by Brody Tupy, and a silent auction running throughout the night. Proceeds from the event support The Be A Light Project’s Hope Lives Here Programs, which equip rural communities, workplaces, and schools with practical tools and language to support mental well-being in ways that resonate with everyday life.
