HOPE LIVES HERE
HOPE LIVES HERE
Every person has a story, and those stories become even more powerful when shared. Whether you have your own lived experience, are supporting someone you love, or are learning how to normalize conversations about brain health, you belong here.
The Be A Light Project exists to make conversations about mental well-being easier, more accessible, and less isolating. When we share our experiences, we create space for others to do the same—breaking stigma, creating hope, awareness and reminding people they have purpose and strength to keep going.
Through our Hope Lives Here model, we offer events, seminars, and community campaigns designed to bring support closer to home. Our programs intentionally serve rural Iowa, where limited resources and connections can make mental health challenges feel heavier.
We partner with like-minded organizations and public service providers to ensure everything we offer is evidence-based and delivered with intention.
We are deeply grateful for the community partners who walk alongside us. Their shared commitment to rural mental-health awareness helps bring our outreach events and campaigns to life. From local leaders and nonprofit collaborators to hometown supporters, these partnerships strengthen our reach and allow us to serve more families in more communities.
